Hospital Art Studio is the leading specialist for creating heritage artworks in healthcare environments
Our aim is to create history and heritage displays which are bright and modern in design, contrasting the past with the present, showing advances in treatment and changes in care.
The displays we create are often permanent historical records of the hospitals and communities they support. Local heritage is celebrated in people-friendly murals using old photos, illustrations, newspaper cuttings, plans, documents, artefacts and 3D objects. As members of your team we can steer the project from beginning to end. Local people, history groups and hospital staff, past and present, are encouraged to be involved with the planning and research, often contributing their own photos and memories.

Knowing how important the planning process is to all parties, we want to work in a way that is harmonious with the fabric, design and structure of a building. We work with a wide range of materials, depending on the environment and available space. We are committed to seeking out new techniques and processes that we can combine with our specialist design and project management services.
What could be included?
Detailed history and heritage displays. Window treatments, wall hanging and free hanging banners and displays. Flooring and signage, sculpture and 3 dimensional objects such as clocks, plaques, carved stonework, etc, as well as custom-made cases to display artefacts. Audio posts and touchscreen AV podiums with search functions to portray the history, through the mediums of video and audio recordings and animated slideshows. Collaborative artworks such as glass, sculpture, fabric and painting could all form parts of a highly creative and integrated display.
