ABout us
We create meaningful artworks for hospitals, healthcare environments and public spaces across the UK.
For more than 15 years we've been designing murals, sculptures, suspended artworks and feature installations that help people feel connected to the places around them. Every artwork is created specifically for its location, drawing inspiration from local landscapes, wildlife, history and communities to create something unique and relevant.
Harry van de Bospoort
Hospital Art Studio is led by artist and Director Harry van de Bospoort, who joined the company in 2020 and has since taken over from founders Karen and Tony van de Bospoort.
NAOMI ROXBY WARDLE
Working alongside Harry, Naomi Roxby-Wardle leads community engagement and consultation, helping people contribute their ideas, experiences and stories where projects involve public participation.
Together, we work closely with clients from first conversations through to installation, creating thoughtful, lasting artworks that are rooted in the places and communities they serve.
What we do
Organ & Blood Donation
We've created around 25 organ donation artworks for NHS organisations across the UK, helping to recognise donors, support donor families and encourage conversations about donation.
Many of these artworks use nature to explore themes of connection, renewal and the gift of life. Whether inspired by local wildlife, landscapes or community stories, each project is designed to be meaningful both to the people it represents and the place where it sits.
Healthcare Artworks
Hospitals can be challenging places to spend time.
We create artworks that make healthcare environments feel more welcoming, memorable and human. Our work can help create calmer spaces, celebrate local identity, improve first impressions and make large buildings easier to navigate.
Community & Public Art
We also work beyond hospitals, creating murals and public artworks with local authorities, charities and community organisations.
Increasingly, we're interested in involving communities in the creative process, helping local people shape artworks that reflect their area and the stories that matter to them.
