Audiology Meadow

CREATING A DISTINCTIVE WAITING AREA

This wildflower meadow, situated within Bradford Royal Infirmary, serves as a unique waiting area within the Audiology Department. Our aim was to create a space that stands apart from the bustling corridors while fostering a welcoming environment, including younger visitors.

We created a design that embraced a background of diverse vegetation in bold colours enveloping the free areas of the lower half of the space. In the foreground are a mixture of stylised wildflowers featuring forget-me-nots, poppies, dandelions, etc with butterflies, bees and ladybirds flitting about.

Our colour palette selection deliberately creates a lively yet serene ambiance, evoking a sense of tranquillity while maintaining an air of playfulness. This palette seamlessly integrates with the existing brightly painted doors, enhancing the overall coherence of the environment.
