Cascade of Colour

A Vibrant Mural for Kentmere Community Centre in Seacroft, Leeds

Discover the transformation of Kentmere Community Centre’s exterior, as our sister brand HVDB Studio unveils a visually striking mural embracing a prominent chimney and bringing a burst of colour and life to the heart of the neighbourhood.

The design concept revolves around a mesmerising waterfall of paint, cascading down three sides of the chimney. The paint splashes at the bottom transform into dynamic shapes, showcasing the array of engaging activities and opportunities awaiting those who step through the doors.

VISIBILITY BEYOND THE HORIZON

Nestled on a hill, visibility is paramount. The bold palette ensures that the mural stands out, becoming a beacon that draws attention to the vibrancy within. Whether strolling through the neighbourhood or driving by, the kaleidoscope of colours tells the story of the diverse community.

CRAFTED FOR LONGEVITY

Crafted with precision and durability in mind, our mural is fashioned from traffic-grade ACM (Aluminium Composite Material), ensuring both longevity and quality. To protect against unwanted elements, an anti-graffiti laminate has been applied. This protective layer ensures that the mural remains a pristine reflection of the community’s spirit, standing tall against the test of time.

Feedback

“Harry has been very easy to work with on our project to design some art work for the side of our community centre including incorporating a chimney into the work.  Harry spent time understanding our needs and was receptive to feedback to change or add when we needed it.  The final work is of a really high quality and we have received lots of positive comments and feedback.  It really is making a difference to people being able to see and locate our building as well as understanding what happens in it.”
